This is a poem written by a teenager with cancer..

It's about life,

I find it very meaningful, and would like to share with everyone.

Slow Dance

你是否曾經看過孩子玩旋轉木馬?

Have you ever watched kids on Merry Go Round?

或傾聽大雨打落在地上的聲音?

or listen to the rain slapping on the ground?

曾經追著飄乎不定地飛著的蝴蝶?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?

或凝視著太陽在夜色中漸漸褪色?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

你最好慢下你的腳步

You better slow down.

不要舞的太快

Don't dance too fast

時間短暫

Time is short.

音樂不會永不停止

The music won't last.

你是否用飛的度過每一天

Do you run through each day on the fly?

當你問自己”你好嗎”?

When you ask "how are you?"

你有聽到回答嗎?

Do you hear the reply?

當一天結束的時候，

When the day is done,

你是否躺在床上

Do you lie in your bed

仍是滿腦袋思考著上百件例行工作事項?

With the next hundred chores running through your head?

你最好慢下你的腳步

You better slow down

不要舞的太快

是否曾經告訴你的孩子

Ever told your child,

我們留到明天再做?

We'll do it tomorrow?

而在你的匆忙之中

And in your haste,

沒看到他的悲傷?

Not see his sorrow?

是否曾因沒有聯繫,

Ever lost touch

而失去很好的友誼?

Let a good friendship die

就因為你總是沒有時間

Cause you never had time

撥個電話說聲”嗨”

To call and say "Hi",

你最好慢下你的腳步

當你急著快點到達某處的時候

When you run so fast to get somewhere

你也錯過了途中一半的樂趣

You miss half the fun of getting there

當你憂心並急著度過你的日子

When you worry and hurry through your day,

像是一件未開的禮物...

It is like an unopened gift...

就這樣被丟棄

Thrown away

生命不是在...

Life is not a...

As for me, I tried and will keep on trying,

and I believe that all we need is a reminder when we forget it in the busy daily life.

To slow down our pace so that we won't regret the moments we have missed out.
